Canada’s Walk of Fame

We are thrilled to celebrate an extraordinary honour for our Founder and President, Dr. Samantha Nutt, who has been inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame under the pillar of Humanitarianism: Champion of Children’s Wellness on the Frontlines of Global Crises.

From her humble beginnings in Scarborough to the epicentres of war and conflict around the world, Dr. Nutt has devoted her life to defending and uplifting the lives of the most vulnerable children. Her unwavering courage, profound compassion, and tireless advocacy have been the driving force behind War Child’s mission – and a powerful catalyst for inspiring humanitarian action around the world.

In a fitting tribute, a star bearing Dr. Samantha Nutt’s name will be installed along King Street West and Simcoe Street in Toronto, in front of the Royal Alexandra Theatre, Princess of Wales Theatre, and Roy Thomson Hall—a permanent symbol of a legacy that continues to shape lives across the globe.

CANADA’S WALK OF FAME 2025 Broadcast will air, in Canada, on July 1st, 2025 at 7 p.m. (8 AT, 8:30 NT) on CBC TV and CBC Gem.
