War Child Remains Committed to Afghanistan

Standing with Afghanistan
War Child has worked in Afghanistan for more than 20 years—and we’re not leaving now. Despite growing instability and funding cuts, we remain committed to supporting children, their mothers and caretakers through protection, education, skills training, humanitarian assistance and urgent healthcare.
War Child Adapts
Restrictions in Afghanistan have impacted decades of progress for women, making access to education, healthcare, and jobs incredibly difficult.
War Child has adapted and expanded our programs in Afghanistan to meet critical needs, like health and maternal care for women & children, classes for children, and skills training and economic support to help families survive.

We provide crucial programs, including:
💙Health & Psychosocial Counseling Services – Providing maternal care, psychosocial counseling support, and emergency aid to women and children in crisis. 📚 Education & Skills Training – Ensuring youth can learn, read, and build careers. 🏠 Multi-purpose Youth Centres – Creating secure spaces where vulnerable children and teenagers receive protection, guidance, and education. 💼 Economic Empowerment – Training young people in job skills to help them support their families.

Many organizations have left, but War Child remains.
44% of our staff in Afghanistan are women, particularly in health and life saving interventions, and we work within communities to provide life-changing resources and hope. Foreign aid cuts have made an already dire situation even worse. Your support keeps these programs running! Donate today.
